this is a device containg pressure transducers, interface electronics circuitry, and a digital computer. it recieves inputs of pitot static pressure, angle of attack, total temperature, and barometric setting. the device converts these inputs into digital data for processing. the digital computer in the device corrects for errors caused by local flow and converts the data into desired parameters. this processed air data of altitude, air speed, angle of attack, mach, temperature, pressure parameter rates and validity and switch discretes are provided to other aircraft subsystems via digital and analog outputs.
