A composition consisting of plasticized resins such as ethylcellulose, cellulose acetate butyrate or other similar polymers with or without solvents or tinting materials. It is used for producing a masking coating in order to shield certain surfaces from receiving finish coatings during spraying, electroplating, and the like, or as a preservative and protective coating for items during shipment and/or storage. It is applied by various methods such as brushing, dipping, or spraying to form a tough, flexible film or cocoon, which is removed by peeling.

Indicates if an item is susceptible to electrostatic discharge or electromagnetic interference damage. electrostatic discharge damage occurs when an accumulation of static electricity generated by the relative motion or separation of materials is released to another item by direct contact. electromagnetic interference damage occurs when an item comes into proximity with an electrostatic or magnetic field.
ENAC: Enviromental Attribute Code. Identifies items with environmentally preferred characteristics.
CRITL: Criticality Indicator Code. Indicates an item is technically critical by tolerance, fit, application, nuclear hardness properties, or other characteristics.
