Level i naval reactor plant material under the technical cognizance of the naval sea systems command (directorate, naval nuclear propulsion program, navsea 08) that is managed by the naval inventory control point-mechanicsburg; and is specially designed, manufactured and/or treated for use in a level i naval reactor plant applications. These items should be treated as pre-certified level i material but do not require an rfi tag to be attached prior to being placed in the navy supply system stock or prior to use.
