A fitting that forms an angle of less than 180 degrees (3.141 radians) from the straight flow. One connecting end must have either standard hose threads, an incomplete part of a threaded end connection that grips the hose directly, or is unthreaded and designed to accommodate a hose. The other connecting end has external or internal machine threads (straight threads other than pipe or hose series), and is designed to facilitate a gasket, preformed packing, washer, or the like, to form a seal at the boss. It is designed to join a hose or hose fitting to a boss or boss fitting on items such as tanks, housings, valve fittings, and the like. It may have side and/or heel inlet(s). CRITL: Criticality Indicator Code. Indicates an item is technically critical by tolerance, fit, application, nuclear hardness properties, or other characteristics.
