A fabricated reusable textile, leather, or plastic item specifically designed to fully or partially cover an aircraft surface(s) or aircraft component(s) to protect against dust, dirt, and weather elements during maintenance operations or while the aircraft is on the ground. It normally has ropes, straps, snap fasteners, slide fasteners, and the like, for securing purposes. It usually has a warning streamer to indicate removal before flight. CRITL: Criticality Indicator Code. Indicates an item is technically critical by tolerance, fit, application, nuclear hardness properties, or other characteristics.
