A disperser that is designed to be carried on the wearer's back by means of a canvas cover and straps or carried by one or more personnel by means of handle(s). It may consist of components such as an exhaust stack, irritant agent hopper, a gas turbine engine or a blower driven by an internal combustion engine, pressure tanks, irritant agent tank(s), hoses, and discharge gun. Items other than those having pressure tanks may be used not only for the control of disorderly crowds and riotous disturbances but also may be adapted to operations related to tunnel and specific enclosure denial and/or destruction or for purification of such enclosures to permit reentry of personnel.
